Senator and pre-candidate for the Presidency of Brazil Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) spoke with the leader opposing the Venezuelan regime Maria Corína Machado during the inauguration ceremony of the new Chilean president, José Antonio Kast.
At the meeting, the two greeted each other and promised to work together in search of justice and democracy for Brazil and Venezuela.
The parliamentarian praised Machado’s work in confronting the Chavista dictatorship and his selection as Nobel Prize winner last year. “You are a great inspiration for Brazil,” said the presidential pre-candidate.
In response, the Venezuelan politician returned the compliments and suggested that they stay in touch to “help” each other in the search for justice and democracy for their countries.
The meeting took place amid the inauguration ceremony of the new right-wing representative who came to power in Latin America, José Antonio Kast, in Chile, after defeating the left-wing Janette Jara in December’s presidential elections. The moment was recorded on the senator’s social networks.
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva canceled his presence at this Wednesday’s official event, sending the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira, as representative of the Brazilian government. Flávio, in turn, was a personal guest of Kast at the inauguration.
