Ed Sheeran Shares Update on Wife Cherry Seaborn After “Scary” Past Cancer Diagnosis
Ed Sheeran’s wife Cherry Seaborn is on the other side of her cancer journey.
After previously revealing that Cherry was diagnosed with cancer 2022 while pregnant with their second daughter Jupiter3, the “Shape of You” singer said all is well.
“She’s fine,” Ed told Benny Blanco, Lil Dicky and Kristin Bataluccio on the March 10 episode of the Friends Keep Secrets podcast. “She had the operation.”
“I mean she was pregnant at the time,” Ed—who also shares daughter Lyra5, with Cherry—added. “Which is why it was difficult. She had the operation to remove the tumor after she’d given birth to our second child. Thankfully, touch wood, totally fine.”
And the Grammy winner, who first opened up about her diagnosis in his 2023 Disney+ documentary, Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All, recalled the moment he got the news, noting it was his “worst day.”
Around this time, Ed was also navigating the grief following the deaths of close friends Jamal Edwards and Shane Warne.
