In a new trailer for the live-action remake of Disney’s Moanathe actor—who plays Maui in the film—debuted a full-fledged hair makeover, and it’s safe to say that fans are obsessed with his luscious locks.
Reprising his role from the 2016 animated film, Dwayne heroically appears onscreen by lifting a boat with one hand as Catherine Laga’aia’s title character watches in awe.
And as the camera pans to the Jumanji star, fans got a close-up of his full demigod get-up, complete with animated tattoos, a ripped physique, and an unforgettable shoulder-length hairdo.
“Maui,” Moana says when she first meets Dwayne’s character in the trailer, “demigod of the wind and sea!”
Adding onto his accolades, Maui chimes in, “Hero of men. So it goes like this, ‘Maui, shapeshifter, demigod of the wind and sea, hero of men… Ah! Women too. Men and women.”
