The deadline for INSS retirees and pensioners to contest undue discounts on their benefits ends this Friday (20th). The procedure is mandatory for anyone who wishes to adhere to the corrected reimbursement agreement offered by the Federal Government.
The dispute can be made via the Meu INSS website or application, via telephone exchange 135 or in person at post offices. Anyone who does not complete the process within the deadline may be left out of the administrative negotiation to receive the amounts unduly deducted.
According to the latest INSS balance, more than 6.3 million people have already contested charges made by entities, and more than 4 million adhered to the agreement. To date, almost R$3 billion has been returned to beneficiaries across the country. Investigations indicate that the loss could reach around R$6 billion.
According to the Institute, those who adhere to the agreement receive the amounts adjusted for inflation within three business days.
