The president of the INSS CPMI, Carlos Viana, has a meeting scheduled with the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), André Mendonça, this Wednesday (11).
According to information from BandNews TV reporter in Brasília, Thayane Melo, the meeting is scheduled for 7pm, at the STF itself. Viana’s intention is to discuss the minister’s decision regarding the presence of banker Daniel Vorcaro on the commission.
Since its installation, CPMI has faced difficulties in ensuring the attendance of those summoned to testimony sessions. In several cases, investigators have turned to the STF to obtain habeas corpus that ensure the right to silence or even exemption from appearing before the commission.
The topic should be one of the main points of conversation between the senator and the minister, given the impact of court decisions on the progress of the hearings planned by the CPMI.
