Britney Spears is stronger than yesterday, according to her inner circle.
In fact, her longtime friend and former assistant Sean Phillip revealed what the “Toxic” singer texted him shortly after she was arrested in California for driving under the influence.
“She said, ‘I’m OK,'” he shared during the March 6 broadcast of Good Morning Britain. “And I said, ‘Do you mind if I speak about this?’ She’s like, ‘Yeah, go ahead.'”
Sean, who said he talks to Britney on a daily to weekly basis, went to explain how this incident is not a “slippery slope” to worse behavior.
“It’s not her character,” Sean continued. “She’s not a harmful person.”
He added of the 44-year-old, “She is one of the most strong women that I’ve ever like met. She’s just keeps on going.”
Britney was taken into custody in the Ventura County area around 9 p.m. on March 4, according to police records viewed by E! News. She was released the following morning, with a court appearance scheduled for May 4.
