Britney Spears was arrested on Wednesday night (4), in Ventura County, California, for driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances, according to information released by the website TMZ.
According to police records obtained by the portal, the singer was handcuffed by the highway patrol at around 9:30 pm and taken to the police station, where she was booked at 3 am. The artist was released around 6am this Thursday.
So far, Britney Spears’ team has not officially commented on the arrest.
