A National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), after being informed about a voluntary collection carried out by Danonedecided this Thursday (19) to suspend the sale, distribution and consumption of certain batches of the Aptamil Premium 1 infant formula, 800g, manufactured by the company.

According to Resolution (RE) 1,056/2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Union, analyzes carried out by the manufacturer identified the presence of cereulide toxin in the product, intended for babies up to 6 months of age. For this reason, the following lots must be withdrawn from the market:

  • 2026.09.07 (fab. 08/03/2025)
  • 2026.10.03 (fab. 03/04/2025)
  • 2026.09.09 (fab. 10/03/2025)

Cereulide is a toxin produced by bacteria Bacillus cereus. Ingestion of food contaminated by this substance can cause symptoms such as intense vomiting, diarrhea and lethargy, characterized by excessive drowsiness, slow movement and reasoning, as well as difficulty reacting and expressing emotions.
