Trump adopted a military siege similar to that used in the operation in Venezuela that resulted in the capture of then dictator Nicolás Maduro. The difference is that, in the case of the South American country, there was no resistance. In the Middle East, however, the conflict has spread to other countries and there are no signs of retreat by the regime.
