Jude Law’s First Wife Sadie Frost
Jude Law was 21 when he met then-28-year-old Sadie Frost while making the 1994 British crime drama Shopping.
Frost’s divorce from her first husband, Spandau Ballet musician Gary Kempwas finalized the following year, and she married Law in September 1997.
Over the course of their relationship, Frost (also mom to son Finlay with Kemp) and Law welcomed sons Raff Law and Rudy Lawas well as daughter Iris Law.
Frost shared in her 2010 memoir Crazy Days that she suffered from severe postpartum depression, writing, “The more I worried about my condition, the more self-obsessed I became and the less attention I gave to Jude.”
She and Law separated in January 2003 and divorced that Augustsaying in a statement it was “the only way forward.”
Frost called Law “the love of my life” in her book, noting he “was a wonderful partner” and “a great dad.”
And, she wrote, “We get on pretty much most of the time. Sometimes there’s a disagreement or we annoy each other but we resolve it quickly and move on.”
Law told The Guardian in 2011 that he and Frost had “a really good setup [in London] where we have a very healthy 50-50 custody arrangement and we live close by.”
He had tentatively reconciled with fame, noting, “I still enjoy a very normal life with my kids. We use trains and buses and that’s often the best way. If you build up some sort of psychological bubble around you, I think you’re asking for trouble.”
