Activists hang photo of former Prince Andrew in the Louvre, in Paris, after his arrest Activists from the anti-billionaire group “Everyone Hates Elon” hung, this Sunday (22), a framed photo of former British Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in the Louvre Museum, in Paris. The image, captured by a Reuters photographer on February 19, shows Andrew in the back seat of a car as he leaves a police station on the day of his arrest. 📱Download the g1 app to see news in real time and for free The activists also pasted a sticker under the photo with the phrase: “He’s Sweating Now – 2026”. According to the group, the action sought to reinforce the message that Andrew should face justice. “We thought we would show former Prince Andrew how the world will remember him by placing this iconic photo of his arrest in the Louvre. We hope this is just the beginning. Justice for all Epstein survivors,” a spokesperson for the group told Reuters in a statement. The image and caption were displayed for 15 minutes, until they were removed by Louvre employees. Mountbatten-Windsor, younger brother of British King Charles, was arrested on Thursday (19), when he turned 66, on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The accusation involves the alleged sending of confidential documents from the British government to Jeffrey Epstein, an American convicted of sexual crimes. British police said on Friday they had contacted former protection officers who worked for Mountbatten-Windsor and asked anyone with allegations of sexual crimes linked to Jeffrey Epstein to come forward. In 2022, he reached a settlement in a civil lawsuit filed in the United States by Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of sexual abuse when he was a teenager, at properties owned by Epstein or his associates. Mountbatten-Windsor has denied any wrongdoing involving Epstein and said he regrets the “mistaken association” with him.
