The United States approved the potential sale of 30 attack helicopters AH-64E Apache Guardian to Israel, in a deal estimated to be worth up to $3.8 billion.

The authorization was announced by the US Department of State and published on the official website of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). Besides the devices in the most modern configuration of theApachepackage includes 70 motors T700-GE-701Dlatest generation M-TADS/PNVS electro-optical systems, 30 AN/APG-78 Longbow fire control radars, anti-missile warning equipment, night vision systems, 60 M36E8 training missiles as well as the most recent navigation equipment compatible with the M code.

One of the main assets of theAH-64E is the system MUMT (Manned-Unmanned Teaming), which allows pilots to control drones directly from the cockpit, receive real-time images and coordinate combined attacks, thereby increasing situational awareness and operational effectiveness.

Currently, the Israel Air Force operates two main Apache variants under the local designations “Peten” and “Saraf”, primarily within Squadrons 113 and 190. The introduction of the AH-64E variant represents a major technological leap for Israeli attack aviation, with gains in connectivity, lethality and survivability on the battlefield.
