Operators from Ukraine’s special forces carried out a drone offensive against Russian air defense systems on the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula.

The biggest wallpaper was a self-propelled launch unit from S-400system, which is considered one of the pillars of Russia’s long-range air defense in the region.

The attack took place on the night of February 25, when medium-range drones hit the missile container on the system. The impact ignited the solid propellant and resulted in the complete destruction of the launch unit. Another drone documented the damage at the site and confirmed that the system had been disabled.

In addition to the launcher, Ukrainian forces also attacked the 92N6E multifunctional radar, which is responsible for detecting and guiding missiles against air targets. The equipment was destroyed near Sofiyivka in the Simferopol region. According to information published on a Telegram channel, the S-400 system protected strategic installations, including Gvardiyske Airport and Simferopol Airport.

The operations also included attacks on Pantsir-S1 systems deployed to protect Russian facilities against drones and missiles. One system was hit in Crimea itself, while another was located and destroyed near Krasnosilske. In addition, a P-18 radar was neutralized near Novofedorivka, further weakening Russia’s air defense network on the peninsula.
