Trump threatens to sue host over talk about Epstein

US President Donald Trump has threatened to sue Grammys host Trevor Noah for saying he visited Jeffrey Epstein’s island: “Looks like I’m going to have my lawyers sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dumb host,” he said on the Truth social media platform.

During the ceremony, Noah said of Trump in one of his monologues that “since Epstein is gone, he needs a new island to be with Bill Clinton,” referring to Greenland.

The Grammys, presented tonight in Los Angeles, were the scene of protests against the president and his immigration policies, led by musicians like Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish. The US president said in his profile on Truth that the award “is the WORST”. “

“Virtually unwatchable! CBS is lucky this garbage isn’t flooding their programming anymore,” he added.

“Noah,” he continues, “whoever he is, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the low-rated Oscar ceremony. Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein’s island. INCORRECT!!!”

Trump said on social media that he doesn’t know if Bill Clinton was on Epstein’s island, but that he was never there: “Until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, I had never been accused of being there, not even by the fake news media.”

The US president asks Noah, who he calls “a complete loser”, to “clarify the facts” and to do so “quickly”.

“Looks like I’m going to send my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless and stupid presenter for a fortune. Ask little George Papadopoulos and others how it all ended. And CBS too! Get ready, Noah, I’m going to have fun with you!”, he concluded in the message.

The message refers to George Papadopoulos, a former Trump adviser who was sentenced to 14 days in prison for lying to federal agents about Russia’s involvement in the 2016 election.

This Friday, the US Department of Justice released 3 million new documents related to the investigation of billionaire and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who has ties to entertainment, business and sports celebrities, as well as politicians such as Donald Trump and Bill Clinton.

Bill Clinton has claimed to have traveled on Epstein’s plane several times to Clinton Foundation events, but denies having knowledge of his crimes or having been to his island.

Several of the tycoon’s victims denounced the fact that the government did not disclose the case files in full, as approved by Congress for the end of 2025.
