On November 19, 2025, housewife Clarice Batista de Almeida, resident of Santa Fé do Sul, in the interior of São Paulo, said goodbye to her son Felipe de Almeida Borges, aged 25, believing that the boy was traveling to Madrid to fulfill his dream of visiting Europe. Clarice didn’t know, but her son had enlisted to join the Ukrainian army and was embarking to fight in the war.
