After Lucy gets expelled from Baird and Stephen’s offer gets rescinded from Yale for sending pornographic images (a reference to the pictures Stephen emailed to Diana’s dad), the timeline jumps to 2015, which is when Evan and Bree’s wedding takes place. In the time jump, it was revealed that Stephen is engaged to Lucy’s former best friend Lydia (Natalee Linez), which was short-lived after he admitted to cheating on her with Lucy the morning of the event, telling her that they were only together to make Lucy jealous. In true Stephen fashion, he mercilessly dumped her.
Stephen then confronted Bree at her own wedding over the past, before taking the mic and spilling everyone’s secrets: Lucy slept with Evan, Bree found out and published Lucy’s confession video, Stephen slept with Lucy the morning of the wedding, and Bree and Wrigley have been sleeping together for months.
While Pippa and Diana—who are now in a relationship—duck out of the event, the rest of the frenemies fight it out. But in a twist no one saw coming, Lucy agreed to go home with Stephen after the function, even after responding, “But I hate you,” to his request.
After the pair is seen driving off together, Stephen ditched Lucy at a truck stop—and all she could do was laugh up at the sky.
