Sweden announced its 21st military aid package to Ukraine, with a total investment close to $1.4 billion.

According to the Swedish Defense Ministry, the funds will mainly be aimed at strengthening air defense and developing Ukraine’s offensive capabilities in the ongoing conflict.

One of the main components of the package is the expansion of a joint project for the production of long-range Ukrainian drones, which will receive approximately $618 million. The plan also includes financing two programs aimed at providing unmanned surface vehicles, thereby expanding Ukraine’s action in maritime operations.

Another significant part, estimated at $330.4 million, will be spent on the acquisition of grenade launchers, long-range artillery ammunition, 120mm mines and spare parts. The package also provides for the purchase of 40 mm projectiles for air defense systems, strengthening protection against aerial threats.

In cooperation with Denmark, Sweden will also participate in the joint purchase of Tridon Mk2 anti-aircraft systems, with an investment of approximately $266 million. The distribution of resources between the two countries will make it possible to fully equip an air defense division, further strengthening Ukraine’s defensive capabilities.
