The Civil Defense of the State of São Paulo warns that between this Saturday (7) and Monday (9), a cold front is expected to pass along the coast of São Paulo, creating conditions for more persistent rains throughout the State, with greater emphasis on the North Coast and areas close to the border with the South of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro.
A Crisis Office will be installed that will work remotely to monitor weather conditions and possible recorded incidents. In the event of worsening rain, the Office may be contacted in person. The Emergency Management Center (CGE) will also continue with continuous monitoring.
Civil Defense reinforces the importance of the population paying attention to official warnings and adopting self-protection measures, such as avoiding areas subject to flooding and floods, not crossing flooded roads and seeking shelter in a safe place during storms. In hillside areas, it is very important to observe signs of slippage, such as cracks in the ground, walls or walls.
