The Ethiopian National Defense Forces may have incorporated Russian KamAZ-53949 Typhoon-K armored vehicles into its arsenal, according to information released by independent analysts.
A video published by OSINT expert Rich Do on platform X shows units of the model being transported in Ethiopian territory.
The images recorded in the African country show two trucks carrying, on trailers, two olive-colored Typhoon-K armored vehicles, which reinforces signs that the vehicles are already in the process of delivery or operational integration.
The Typhoon family was created in 2010 within a Russian program aimed at developing a new generation of armored vehicles. The 53949 model emerged as a more compact and agile alternative compared to the heavier three-axle versions of the same line.

Designed to offer high protection, the Typhoon-K has a V-shaped hull to disperse explosion energy, as well as impact-absorbing seats. The armor combines steel and ceramic elements, capable of resisting armor-piercing ammunition and artillery shrapnel. Weighing around 15 tons, the vehicle carries up to 10 soldiers and can reach 105 km/h thanks to its 350 horsepower engine.
