The vehicle will be operated in typical regional conditions, such as compacted snow, permafrost and mountainous terrain. Yakutia is known for its low temperatures and limited infrastructure in remote areas, factors that require specific logistics solutions.

The vehicle was purchased by a geological exploration company from Khabarovsk belonging to the OGK Group holding company. The main task will be the transportation of cargoes and the support of geologist teams in the prospection of mineral resources.
According to the manufacturer, the TM-140 go through several test phases before delivery. The delivered unit is equipped with a passenger module, an additional fuel tank and a winch for operations in difficult-to-access areas.
The vehicle’s cabin can accommodate up to seven people. The passenger module can accommodate a service team of up to eight members.
The loading capacity is a maximum of four tons. The operational range is 550 kilometers and can increase to 870 kilometers with the installation of additional fuel tanks.

The tracked vehicles produced by Kurganmashzavod are used in the oil, gas and mining sectors, as well as in search and rescue operations of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies in northern regions of the country, such as Komi Republic, Arkhangelsk Region, Murmansk Region, Chukotka Autonomous District and Krasnoyarsk Krai.
