Kelsie Domer is mourning the unimaginable.
The 10-time Women’s Professional Rodeo Association world champion’s 3-year-old daughter Oaklynn died Feb. 19, according to her obituary shared by Kelsie on Facebook.
“Oaklynn packed a lot in her short time with us,” the Lanman Funeral Home obituary read. “Traveling the rodeo circuit all over the U.S., hitting the practice pen with mom and dad, and loving her family with all her heart.”
“She loved frogs, horses, everybody’s puppies, going to ‘yodeos,’ and hanging out with all her friends,” it continued. “She did not know a stranger and lit up the room the minute she made her grand entrance.”
Kelsie—mom to Oaklynn with husband Ryan Domer—was involved in a freak accident with their daughter after one of their horses fell on them after experiencing a medical episode, Rodeo Life reported Feb. 20.
The breakaway roper, 35, who was holding Oaklynn while leading their animal, had survived and although life-saving efforts were made on the toddler, the publication noted, she succumbed to her injuries.
