Legislative elections in Japan: prime minister’s party supported by Trump wins at least two-thirds of the chamber, says broadcaster NHK

Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s Liberal Democratic Party (PLD) won at least two-thirds of the seats in the Japanese Parliament this Sunday (8), according to Japanese public broadcaster NHK.

The polls closed at 8pm this Sunday (8), local time, and in less than two hours, the PLD had already surpassed 233 seats.
