DRASSthe Italian defense company, has delivered two underwater raider transport vehicles (SDVs) to Indonesia’s Ministry of Defense, as part of a broader effort to strengthen the underwater capabilities of the country’s Navy.
According to a press release issued by DRASSthe SDVs are equipped with advanced autonomous capabilities, integrating latest generation guidance and navigation systems together with a complete optronic periscope package.
The company said all autonomous functions have been rigorously validated during extensive sea trials, confirming the platforms’ reliability, safety and operational readiness.
The delivery represents a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to providing naval forces with modern, innovative, mission-ready underwater solutions adapted to evolving operational requirements, according to DRASS.
As part of the delivery program, DRASS has carried out extensive at-sea training to ensure that Indonesian operators are ready to effectively deploy and manage the vehicles in real operational environments.
