Cars drive over frozen sea in Estonia The freezing temperatures brought by the harsh winter across the Northern Hemisphere led Estonia to create its first official ice road this Sunday (8). ✅ Follow the g1 international news channel on WhatsApp Images taken with a drone (see the video above) show drivers traveling along the 17-kilometer route between the islands of Hiiumaa and Saaremaa. The connection between the islands is normally made by ferry, but the intense freezing of the Baltic Sea interrupted the service. Temperatures in Estonia are negative daily, reaching -15ºC. No one measures it”, warns Estonian police officer Maiko Sirts.
