Until now, information on where Iranian enriched uranium was since the 12-day war between Israel and Iran in June 2025 was unknown. At the time, the US entered the war and bombed the Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear facilities. The status of the uranium stockpile, however, is still unknown. That’s why the IAEA has renewed its calls for the Khamenei regime to have access to the material so that its experts can inspect it. The place is in the central region of the province of Isfahan, whose capital is the third largest city in the country and one of the most culturally important, with its historic center listed as a cultural heritage site by UNESCO.
