One of the topics discussed at the dinner hosted by President Lula for the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), and party leaders was the end of the 6×1 scale.
The Federal Government announced that it will present to Congress, right after Carnival, a new project that proposes the end of the 6×1 scale without reducing salaries.
Currently, seven proposals are discussing the subject in the National Congress. There are four in the Chamber, one of them belonging to deputy Érika Hilton; and three in the Senate, including Senator Paulo Paim.
The proposal determines the end of the six-day work schedule for one day of rest and the reduction of the working day from the current 44 hours to 36 hours per week.
Despite meeting resistance in the market, the measure has great popular approval.
