Two cyclists died after being run over in Três Coroas, in Rio Grande do Sul. The tragedy happened this Saturday morning (21). The driver who caused the accident fled the scene, but was arrested hours later.
According to the Military Brigade’s Highway Police Command (CRBM), Clarissa Felipetti, aged 38, and Fernanda Barros, aged 35, could not resist their injuries and died at the scene. A 35-year-old man, husband of one of the victims, was taken to hospital in serious condition. The highway had to be blocked in both directions for assistance. The 42-year-old driver left the car’s front license plate in the wreckage. The police identified the vehicle, registered in Gramado.
Três Coroas City Hall published a note of condolence.
