The President of the United States, Donald Trump, receives the Prime Minister of Israel this Wednesday (11), at the White House. This is the seventh meeting in about a year.
Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to make the country’s concern about negotiations between the United States and Iran the main topic of the meeting. The prime minister will ask Trump to reinforce American demands not only for the end of Tehran’s nuclear program, but also for strong restrictions on the production of ballistic missiles by arch-rivals and on alliances with Hamas and Hezbollah.
Netanyahu has a very close relationship with Trump, but has major differences when it comes to sitting at the table with Iran. The Republican, in turn, prefers diplomacy, but does not abandon the idea of attacking his enemies.
