Brazilian services exports broke a record in 2025 and exceeded US$51 billion. Of this total, around US$33 billion came from digital services, such as technology, platforms and services provided to companies abroad.
The numbers are part of a new survey by the Ministry of Development, which for the first time brings together detailed data on international trade in services in the country.
Even with the progress, the country still records a deficit in the services sector. Last year, imports exceeded US$104 billion, resulting in a negative balance of almost US$53 billion. According to the government, expanding service exports is a way to reduce dependence on foreign capital.
