The wake for the body of the 10-year-old girl who died after being shot in the Favela do Gogó da Ema, in Belford Roxo, was held this Monday afternoon (2), at the Cemetery in the municipality of Baixada Fluminense. The case happened last Saturday night (31).
The Civil Police investigate the murder. The criminal, identified as Weverson Gomes da Silva, shot at least eight times at the car containing Sophia Loren Soares Camilo and her father, Diogo Camilo Rocha. The child was hit in the leg and chest. The father was injured in the buttock. Even so, he managed to drive to the Belford Roxo Emergency Care Unit. Then, the two were transferred to the Municipalized Hospital Adão Pereira Nunes, in Duque de Caxias, in the same region. But, according to the unit’s management, the child was admitted with multiple gunshot wounds and in cardiorespiratory arrest. The body was sent to the Duque de Caxias Legal Medical Institute. The father underwent treatment and was advised to return to the Belford Roxo UPA.
Witnesses told the police that the criminal ordered the father to stop, who obeyed. But even so, the bandit shot. The criminal will answer for the crimes of murder and attempted murder. The weapon used in the crime was seized. The police officers who responded to the call also indicated that witnesses said the criminal was drunk.
On Saturday, four criminals were killed in the same neighborhood, during a confrontation with military police. Officers went to the scene after the death of a motorcycle taxi driver, on Friday (30). According to the PM, the dead criminals were considered the main “war fighters” in Complexo da Penha, in the North Zone of Rio. Images from a security camera in an establishment, which appears to be a junkyard, show the moment in which a man enters the place, and shoots the victim several times, at close range.
