The 16-year-old teenager attacked in Vicente Pires died this Saturday after 16 days in a private hospital in Águas Claras, in the Federal District.
Rodrigo Castanheira had been in a medically induced coma since the early hours of January 23, when he was attacked after a fight at the door of a condominium by pilot and businessman Pedro Arthur Turra Basso, 19 years old. During the attacks, the young man hit his head on a car door, suffered head trauma and went into cardiorespiratory arrest for 12 minutes.
Pedro Turra has been in pre-trial detention at the Provisional Detention Center, in the Papuda Penitentiary Complex, since February 2. Last Friday (6), the Superior Court of Justice denied the pilot’s request for habeas corpus.
