The driver of a Toyota 4Runner made the internet drop its jaw after he filmed his car driving straight even though the steering wheel was turned sharply to the right.
The clip was posted by Mike Usoff on his Facebook page. In the footage you can clearly see that Toyota 4Runner have serious problems with the wheel measurement.
Nevertheless, the driver is seen driving straight ahead on a road at over 120 km/h. “Maybe it’s time to check this measurement,” he joked in the caption above the video.
Mike’s post has already garnered over 300,000 views, more than 50,000 likes and hundreds of comments from users who were shocked by the scene.
“I expected the wheels to shake with the mud covered rims,” admitted one Facebook user. “Hey, you’re driving [120 km/t] and it doesn’t shake. It can’t be that bad!” joked another.
“To buy one Jeep would solve it. Plus, you could go on a real off-road ride,” suggested a third user. “That’s why I bought one [all-terrain køretøj],” wrote a fourth.
Although Mike’s video has a humorous tone, it is very important to have the wheel measured and balanced, which should be done when the driver notices that the steering wheel is not in the same position as the wheels.
Even if you always drive on highways and paved roads, this imbalance will naturally worsen over time. In addition to damaging your car, driving with a crooked steering wheel can pose many safety risks on public roads.
