A video published by the official channel of the Russian aerospace industry shows the Il-114-300 in Zhukovsky, where the prototype is undergoing tests and final adjustments in Wings India 2026 ahead of its international launch, which will be held from January 28 to 31 in Hyderabad.
The aircraft is already equipped with a passenger cabin, which strengthens the preparatory phase towards public demonstrations and potential customers.
United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Rostec’s aerospace holding company, is presenting its latest regional aircraft for the first time outside of Russia: the Il–114–300-at and the Superjets by substituting imported parts. Both types are part of the international expansion strategy of Russian civil aviation.

The Superjet will be displayed in a static exhibition, with a special paint job reminiscent of the colors of the Indian flag. Built with serial production technologies, the jet uses Russian-made systems and units, including the PD-8 engines from United Engine Corporation. As part of the import substitution program, the aircraft received an all-Russian interior; the new series-production cabin will be presented to the public for the first time at the event.

The Il–114–300, which is equipped with TV7-117ST-01 engines — also the United Engine Corporation products — participates in the flight program of the exhibition with a built-in passenger cabin. The turboprop aircraft is designed to develop regional routes and can operate autonomously at small airports, short runways and with limited infrastructure. The type is certified for operation in a wide range of climates, from arctic regions and Siberia to mountainous areas to tropical and subtropical climates.

According to Rostec, India is a strategic partner of Russia with long-term technological cooperation in line with the Make in India policy. India’s UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) program, which aims to expand regional air transport and improve accessibility, creates favorable conditions for the commercial potential of the Superjet and the Il–114–300 in the local market.
During Wings India 2026, it will showcase developments in Russian civil aviation at the UAC stand and participate in roundtable discussions on the development of the Indian aerospace industry. With the support of the Russian Trade Mission in India, technical presentations of the Superjet and Il–114–300 are planned for local specialists and operators, in view of the interest shown by regional airlines.

Wings India 2026 is Asia’s largest civil aviation event, organized by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, Airports Authority of India (AAI) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
