The United States Marine Corps has chosen Gentex Pursuit the helmet as the Next Generation Fixed Wing Helmet (NGFWH) to equip their aircrews.

The new helmet will replace HGU-68Pwhich is also produced from Gentexon everyone E-2D, F/A-18, By / a-18g, T-45, T-6 aircraft and, in the future, on Navy Cadet Jet Training Systems (UJTS).
Made from a lightweight carbon structure, combined with an improved ventilation system and internal padding, the new helmet incorporates an open modular system approach (MOSA) for the integration of current and future HMDs, advanced communication systems and optical and respiratory protection.
Following selection, the company received a five-year contract with unlimited supplies (ID/IQ) to supply over 5,000 NGFWH systems and associated spare parts. The contract is estimated to have a value of approximately USD 22 million.
