The Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out the first confirmed strike against the Russian P-18-2 Prima radar, a system known for its ability to detect aircraft using stealth technology.
The operation was carried out by the 412th Unmanned Systems Forces Brigade, known as “Nemesis”, and was recorded on video by the unit’s command.
Commander Robert Brovdi said the target was hit more than 100 kilometers behind the front line, using medium-range attack drones equipped with warheads weighing more than 10 kilograms. Due to the radar’s low level of shielding, the impact rendered the system completely inoperable, eliminating an asset considered strategic to Russian air defense.
On the same day, the brigade also destroyed a Tor-M2 missile system as well as a Tunguska hybrid system in the Zaporizhia and Donetsk regions. Thus, the total number of radars and air defense systems neutralized between January 1 and 12 reached 11 units, further widening the gaps in the enemy air protection network.
The P-18-2 Prima is a latest generation mobile radar, capable of detecting targets up to 320 kilometers away, depending on altitude. According to Ukrainian authorities, in December 2025 alone, drone units struck more than 106,000 targets, including 128 air defense systems, marking the highest figure ever recorded for this type of operations.
