President Donald Trump published this Tuesday (20) on his social network a photograph of a meeting with European leaders, which included an image generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) of a map of the Americas in which Venezuela, Greenland and Canada appear as US territories.
The real photograph was taken last August in the Oval Office of the White House, where Trump met with the main leaders of the European Union (EU), as well as NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Joining them, around the table in the Oval Office, are the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, the German Chancellor, Friedrich Merz, the Finnish leader, Alexander Stubb, and the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky.
In the center of the image, between Trump and European leaders, a photograph was created with the map of America, in which the American flag extends over the territories of Canada, Greenland and Venezuela.
The publication of the image appears to be yet another demonstration of the objectives that Donald Trump has set in terms of foreign policy since the beginning of this term.
Trump has on several occasions considered Canada as another US state and captured the Venezuelan dictator, Nicolás Maduro, accusing him of being a narco-terrorist. The Republican intends to try him in New York after the imposition of an interim government in Venezuela led by Delcy Rodríguez.
Furthermore, in recent weeks, the American president has launched several threats against Greenland, an Arctic island under Danish sovereignty that he wishes to annex – including the use of force, if necessary -, which has opened a serious crisis within NATO, the organization to which both countries belong.
A few hours before releasing this new montage, Trump had already registered his ambitions with an image on his Truth Social profile in which he appears raising the American flag on the island, flanked by Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and Vice President, JD Vance.

The American president has already confirmed a meeting with Mark Rutte to discuss the Greenland issue.
