The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, is expected to visit Jair Bolsonaro this Thursday. The meeting will take place in Papudinha, where the former president is serving a sentence of 27 years and three months in prison for attempted crimes against democracy.
The meeting, which was initially scheduled for last Thursday, is expected to take place from 11am to 1pm. This will be the first face-to-face meeting between Bolsonaro and Tarcísio since the former president went to the closed regime.
Allies hope that peace will be sealed in relation to recent disagreements between the two and that the governor of São Paulo will reinforce his decision to remain in São Paulo to run for re-election to the government.
The movement occurs at a time of political reconfiguration, and is also the first direct dialogue after the choice of senator Flávio Bolsonaro as pre-candidate for the presidency of the Republic, a decision that impacts the structure of alliances for the next elections.
