Registration for the 2026 Unified Selection System (Sisu) begins this Monday (19) across Brazil. Students can register until 11:59 pm (Brasília time) this Friday (23).
This edition, which will be the largest according to the Ministry of Education, will have the participation of 136 public higher education institutions, which will offer more than 274 thousand places in 7.3 thousand courses, covering 587 municipalities in the country. Among the vacancies, 73 thousand are for face-to-face degree courses.
The results of the regular call will be announced on January 29th, while registrations will begin on February 2nd. The period to express interest on the waiting list will be between January 29th and February 2nd.
Candidates who took the last three editions of the National High School Exam (Enem) will be able to use their scores to enroll in the program. The scores of training students (who have not finished high school and take the exam for self-assessment only) will not be considered.
Sisu is a federal government program that brings together vacancies offered by public higher education institutions in Brazil based on the student’s performance in the Enem.
