The Saturday Night Live alum—who welcomed 1-month-old daughter Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt in December—revealed a hidden significance behind the newborn’s name.
Indeed, while the moniker is a heartfelt nod to Pete’s late dad Scott Davidson—a New York City firefighter who died while responding to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks—it also carries a second special meaning. As the 32-year-old told Elite Daily in an interview published Jan. 27, “She was conceived in Scotland.”
While Elsie, 29, noted that she and Pete—who made their romance public in March—“went through so many different names,” the model described their final pick as “an early favorite.”
“We always knew that was the one we were going to come back to, because it was the most meaningful,” she told the outlet. “It’s also so cute.”
