Paulo Rabello: EU and India close new trade agreement after 20 years

After nearly two decades of negotiations, India and the European Union (EU) have reached a free trade agreement aimed at strengthening economic and strategic ties, with a potential impact on up to 2 billion people.

Economist and columnist for BandNews TV, Paulo Rabello de Castro, commented on the topic, highlighting that Brazil finds itself in “a tight situation”. He highlighted that while the free trade agreement between Mercosur and the EU is still pending in the European Court, the treaty between India and Europe was concluded quickly and successfully.
