On January 27, North Korea tested a multiple rocket launch system (MLRS) of large caliber modernized, as part of its efforts to expand strategic military capabilities.

The rehearsal was personally monitored by Kim Jong Un Jong Un and his daughter, according to the state agency KCNA.

According to the official statement, four rockets were launched during the test and accurately hit sea targets located at a distance of 358.5 kilometers from the trigger point.

North Korean authorities say the system incorporates new technologies aimed at increasing mobility, precision and the ability to operate even under attempted external interference.
