Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), decided to shelve, this Thursday (22), investigations against those accused of organizing blitzes with the aim of preventing the movement of voters on their way to polling places in the second round of the 2022 elections.
The minister welcomed the understanding of the Attorney General’s Office that there is insufficient evidence against delegates Alfredo de Souza Lima Coelho Carrijo and Leo Garrido de Salles Meira. As a result, the investigation into their case was closed.
In the cases of the former director general of the Federal Highway Police, Silvinei Vasques, Marília Ferreira and the former Minister of Justice Anderson Torres, the archiving occurred because they had already been convicted by the STF for the same crime, in the same case.
