The mega snow and ice storm that is advancing across the United States has already left 230,000 consumers without electricity, according to a report obtained by Reuters this Sunday (25). To date, 23 states and the District of Columbia have declared a state of emergency.

He approved federal disaster emergency declarations in South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Indiana and West Virginia.

The National Weather Service expects snow accumulations of between 12 and 18 inches through Monday, with localized amounts of up to 22 inches.
