President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), underwent post-operative exams this Saturday (31) and presented satisfactory progress after undergoing cataract surgery in his left eye, carried out on Friday (30). The information was released through a note.
The ophthalmological procedure was carried out in the morning, and the president was discharged approximately three hours after arriving at CBV Hospital de Olhos, in Brasília.
Considered simple, cataract surgery is among the most performed procedures in Brazil and is one of the most sought after in the Unified Health System (SUS).
Lula is expected to remain at rest during the weekend at the Granja do Torto Official Residence and resume his schedule on Monday (2).
