Leonardo DiCaprio Reacts to ‘One Battle After Another’ Costar Chase Infiniti’s Oscars Snub
Leonardo DiCaprio will fight any battle for Chase Infiniti.
The 51-year-old actor had nothing but good things to say about his One Battle After Another costar after his onscreen daughter was notably off the Oscar’s Lead Actress list on Jan. 22.
“She was the fabric of this movie. She was the heart and soul,” Leonardo, who earned a Best Actor nomination for his role in the film, told the Associated Press following the nominations on Jan. 22. “There would be no One Battle After Another without the performance that she gave.”
The Wolf of Wall Street star emphasized that even though the nominations didn’t land in Chase’s favor, the 25-year-old had “an amazing attitude” about it.
“A young actress coming in to fill a role that was her first film and carrying the entire emotional weight of this movie was a near-impossible task,” he said, adding, “She should be so proud of herself and we’re all so proud of her.”
