Billionaire businessman Joesley Batista decided to invest in a new type of strategic asset: cinema. In yet another sign of goodwill to the United States government — and, in particular, to President Donald Trump — the owner of J&F was willing to finance a film about the trajectory of Melania Trump, American first lady.
According to reports from people close to the businessman, the initiative is seen as another treat for the occupant of the White House.
The idea for the film began circulating during Trump’s presidential campaign in 2024.
US government officials working in Brazil claim to be aware of the project. Three people with direct knowledge of the matter say that the cast selection should take place in the first half of this year. Joesley, however, does not intend to interfere in the artistic part: his role will be exclusively that of financier.
