A heavy snowstorm that hit the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan (USA), caused almost a hundred vehicles to pile up on a highway last Monday morning (19).

While the blizzard did not cause any fatalities or serious injuries, the phenomenon strongly affected the visibility of drivers in the region, causing vehicles to end up leaving the road.

Winds of 40 to 65 km/h were recorded and, at the worst moment, visibility was only 400 meters. All of this led to the pileup recorded on the interstate highway I-196 in the section between Zeeland and Hudsonville.
