Federal Government streaming platform launched; find out how to access

by Marcelo Moreira

The new streaming platform focused exclusively on national audiovisual was launched by the Federal Government. The system offers free access to a vast catalog of Brazilian productions.

Called “Tela Brasil”, the initiative seeks to democratize access to culture and give visibility to works from different genres and regions of the country, allowing the public to watch films, short films and series without subscription costs. The purpose of the service is to bring together content that often finds distribution difficult in the traditional commercial circuit.

For now, the initial version of the application has only been made available for Android phones. To access the works, the user needs to register using their Government account. After logging in, the catalog is available for immediate browsing, divided into categories that make it easier for the viewer to choose according to the genre or format of the work.

The platform is still in the development phase, so errors may occur until streaming is stabilized and available to all users.
