A dawn of terror in the Saracuruna neighborhood, in Duque de Caxias (RJ). Last Saturday morning (24), the collapse of a residence resulted in the death of an 11-year-old girl.
The Fire Department was called at around 2:40 am after reports that three people were buried under the rubble. The operation involved around 40 soldiers from 5 operational units.
Unfortunately, the minor was found dead. During the action, firefighters managed to rescue a man and a woman alive, who were promptly taken to the Adão Pereira Nunes Municipal Hospital. To date, the identity of the victims and the clinical condition of the survivors have not been disclosed.
Municipal Civil Defense went to the site to assess the structural damage in the area and investigate the causes of the collapse.
