In fact as to the possibility of artificial intelligence nabbing acting roles over him in the future, The Parks and Recreation alum not only shared he is not worried but also fired a few shots at one AI actress, in particular: Tilly Norwood.
“I don’t feel like someone’s going to replace me that’s AI,” Chris, 46, told Variety at the New York premiere of Mercy Jan. 20 “I heard this Tilly Norwood thing. I think that’s all bulls–t. I’ve never seen her in a movie. I don’t know who this b—h is.”
He added, “You know, it’s all fake until it’s something.”
As for who Tilly Norwood is, she’s a completely AI-generated “actress” created by Eline Van der Velden. After the Dutch writer presented Tilly as a digital performer at the Zurich Film Festival in September, announcing the hopes of the computerized “actress” to get represented by a real talent agency, the tech sparked immediate backlash from Hollywood.
In a statement to E! News attributed to Tilly, it seems the life-like software has a sense of humor, responding to Chris’ comments, “Ah, I’ll date Chris Pine’s AI twin then!”
